Give Your Next Practice a Purpose.
A simple way to choose one skill and notice your progress.
You do not have to work on everything at once. Give your next practice one clear focus.
Choose an Action
Pick something specific you can work on: keeping your eyes up while dribbling, using your non-dominant hand, or getting your feet set before a shot. Ask your coach to help choose a suitable drill.
Make the Session Manageable
Use the practice plan and warm-up your coach recommends. Start at a pace where you can pay attention to technique. Take breaks when you need them, and tell your coach if something hurts.
Notice More than Makes and Misses
A shot can miss even when one part of your technique improves. Ask: Did I do the action I was practicing? What changed when I slowed down? What feedback did my coach give me?
Leave with One Note
Write down what you worked on, what you noticed and what you want to ask next time. You are building a record of your learning, not a verdict on your ability.
Bring that note to your next practice. A small, repeatable focus gives you something concrete to return to.
