Ask About the People and Process
Who leads sessions? What screening and training are required? How are absences covered? Ask how the organization applies responsible coaching practices, including observable and interruptible interactions. A confident-sounding answer is less useful than a clear procedure.
Understand Arrival and Departure
Ask when supervision begins and ends, who can collect an athlete, what happens with late pickup and whether independent departure is permitted. Make sure the actual plan matches what you can do as a family.
Know How to Raise a Concern
Find the program contact and the route for concerns about that person. Ask how incidents and suspected concussions are handled. Do not use a registration comment box for an urgent concern. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
