Built Close to Home.

Six sessions can give a young person a place to start.

The Barrier Can Come Before the First Practice

A program fee is not the only question a family faces. Location, transport, confidence, clear information and knowing what to expect can all affect whether an athlete takes the first step. Legacy North: BUILT brings a six-session format into local communities and makes participation free for the Fall 2026 offering.

Consistency Creates Something to Return To

The structure is simple: a familiar place, coaches who prepare, skills to work on and teammates to get to know. Grades 5–8 athletes can begin with their current ability and work on a useful next step.

The People Behind the Sessions

Josiah Falk, Director of Legacy Communities, has been developing the training and session resources that support Legacy North: BUILT coaches. The program brings that preparation into local gyms, with the aim of making the experience clear and consistent for athletes and families.

Support Makes Access Possible

Coaching, gym space, shirts and equipment still carry a cost even when families do not pay a fee. Program sponsorship gives local partners a concrete way to help. The contribution and responsibilities should be agreed clearly, with reporting suited to the actual program delivered.
