Ask Before Posting Someone Else
Respect teammates’ choices when sharing team moments online.
When to use it
Use before posting a photo, clip, screenshot or personal story involving another person.
Put It into Practice
- Check your program’s media rules and the person’s permission. Attendance at an event does not mean every participant welcomes your personal social post.
- Look for private information in the image or caption, including locations, schedules and personal conversations. Do not publish humiliating or unsafe content.
- If permission is unclear, do not post. If someone asks for a post to be removed, respond promptly and involve an adult or organizer when needed.
What It Can Look Like
A player asks before posting a teammate’s celebration and leaves out the private team-chat screenshot.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: Respecting a no is part of being a trustworthy teammate.
