Choose a Useful Question After a Tough Session
Move from a sweeping verdict to a question you can investigate.
When to use it
Use when your first reaction is “nothing worked today.”
Put It into Practice
- Give yourself time to settle before reviewing. You do not have to produce a lesson immediately after disappointment.
- Choose one question: what confused me, when did I feel prepared, or what instruction do I need clarified? Avoid interrogating every mistake.
- Take that question to your notebook or coach. End the review with a small next step and return to the rest of your day.
What It Can Look Like
A player replaces “I cannot do defence” with a question about when their team wants them to help.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: A useful question opens learning; a global verdict usually closes it.
