Choose What Success Means This Season
Define growth in terms that belong to you as well as your team.
When to use it
Use before a season or when someone else’s expectations are taking over your goals.
Put It into Practice
- Write what you want to learn, how you want to contribute and what you want to enjoy. Include one goal beyond statistics or selection.
- Discuss your ideas with a trusted adult or coach. Notice where family, team and personal expectations differ so those differences can be talked through.
- Choose one early action and a review date. Give yourself permission to revise the goal as circumstances and interests change.
What It Can Look Like
A player wants to communicate more clearly, help new teammates join and enjoy competing with friends.
