Create Your Own Pregame Checklist
Build a short, repeatable routine that fits your situation.
When to use it
Use when pregame feels rushed or your attention is scattered.
Put It into Practice
- Separate practical preparation from mental focus. Confirm equipment and arrival, then choose one simple cue for how you want to approach the game.
- Keep the routine flexible. Follow the coach’s warm-up and leave room for venue changes; a delay should not make you feel the whole game is ruined.
- After trying it, keep only the parts that helped you get ready. Do not copy another athlete’s ritual just because it looks impressive.
What It Can Look Like
A player checks their shoes, joins the team warm-up and chooses “communicate early” as the first action.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: A routine supports preparation; it does not control the outcome.
