Keep a Small Practice Notebook
Record enough to guide your next session without tracking everything.
When to use it
Use when you finish practice with several ideas and forget them by the next day.
Put It into Practice
- Make three headings: what we worked on, what I noticed, and what I will try next. Keep each answer to one or two sentences.
- Record an observable detail instead of a global judgment. “I looked up before my second dribble twice” is more useful than “I was bad.”
- Read only the next-action line before your next practice. Add a new note after trying it, so the notebook supports action instead of becoming a scorecard.
What It Can Look Like
A player writes down a footwork cue and tests it at the next coached session.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: Your notes belong to your learning; you do not need to share every reflection.
