Learn from a Possession on Film
Watch a short clip for choices rather than blame.
When to use it
Use with a coach or approved team video; follow the program’s privacy rules.
Put It into Practice
- Choose one possession and watch it once without pausing. Describe where the space, ball and teammates were before judging the outcome.
- Pause at one decision. Name two options the player could reasonably see from that position; the camera’s view may reveal more than the player could.
- Choose one idea to test at practice. Keep the clip within the approved group and do not post teammates’ mistakes or add humiliating commentary.
What It Can Look Like
A turnover clip becomes a conversation about a passing window rather than a label about the passer.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: Film is a learning aid, not a public trial of a teammate.
