Stay Yourself Around Stronger Players
Enter a higher-level environment with curiosity and a useful role.
When to use it
Use at a camp, selection session or practice with more experienced athletes.
Put It into Practice
- Choose two things you can contribute immediately, such as listening closely and giving a clear passing target. Avoid inventing a different personality to fit in.
- Notice one specific habit from an experienced player. Ask a respectful question at an appropriate moment instead of comparing your whole game with theirs.
- After the session, name one thing you learned and one contribution you made. Ask your coach what challenge is appropriate next.
What It Can Look Like
A first-time participant focuses on communication and learns how another player prepares before receiving the ball.
