Tell Your Coach What Support Helps

Prepare a short conversation about your learning preferences.

When to use it

Use when you want to participate but the current setup makes that difficult.

Put It into Practice

  1. Write down the situation and what you notice. You can describe a practical need without sharing private medical or family information with the whole team.
  2. Ask for a suitable time to speak with your coach, involving a parent, guardian or trusted adult when appropriate. Follow the program’s communication boundaries.
  3. Propose one practical adjustment and ask what is possible. Agree on a time to review whether it helps rather than assuming the coach can read your mind.

What It Can Look Like

An athlete asks to see the activity demonstrated once before joining instead of relying only on spoken instructions.

Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.

Take it with you: A request opens a conversation; useful support can be specific and modest.
