Create a Late-Arrival Entry Routine
In smaller communities, transport and family schedules can affect arrival times. A predictable entry routine helps an athlete join without stopping the whole session or receiving a public lecture. Attendance concerns can be discussed separately with the appropriate adult.
When to use it
Use when athletes arrive after the opening explanation.
Put It into Practice
- Assign an adult to acknowledge arrivals and check that required registration and participation steps are complete. Keep this role visible within your supervision arrangements.
- Prepare a short entry activity that introduces the current task and gives the athlete time to get ready. Explain where they join when a round ends.
- At a suitable moment, privately ask whether a practical barrier caused the delay. Work through the normal family communication channel if the pattern needs support.
What It Can Look Like
An athlete arriving from a shared ride checks in, completes the entry activity and joins the next three-minute game.
Your notes stay on this page. They are not saved or sent. Print before leaving to keep a copy.
Take it with you: Make joining clear while handling barriers respectfully.
