Make the Parent Update Practical

Families usually need clear information more than a long account of every drill. A short, predictable update can connect the session's purpose with the next practical step. Keep individual feedback and participant details out of group messages.

When to use it

Use after a short program block or before a schedule change.

Put It into Practice

  1. Use three headings: what we practiced, what happens next and what families need to know. Confirm dates, venue details and the correct contact before sending.
  2. Describe learning without ranking athletes or promising results. Offer one optional conversation starter families can use if their athlete wants to talk about the session.
  3. Send through the program's approved channel and provide a route for questions. If information changes, issue a clear correction rather than assuming everyone will notice an edited message.

What It Can Look Like

An update explains that athletes practiced creating passing options, confirms the next gym entrance and invites questions through the program contact.
